So please make sure you have a Spotify Premium subscription. Some Raspberry Pi users have had some success getting the Chrome OS Widevine plugin to work in Chromium browser on the Pi, but it seems that it may only work for limited amounts of time due to how long the RPF/RPT take to release new versions of Chromium for the Pi and how often versions of Widevine are obsoleted (see Netflix on Raspberry Pi). Downloading songs for offline use is only available for Spotify Premium users. Last time I checked, the Spotify desktop application for Linux was labeled Beta and only available for x86_64 (not ARM*) systems.Īlso, the last time I checked, using the Spotify web application in a web browser requires the Widevine DRM plugin. Is it possible? As far as I know, I don't think that is realistic/possible unless using the app on your phone through Android Auto (provided the Spotify mobile app supports Offline mode?). I have a question in regards Android Auto and Spotify Was thinking to purchase a monthly plan for Spotify so I can download music and play it in Offline mode FROM Raspberry (not my phone).
